Hotelogix alternative: when D&D HotelOS is the better fit

Hotelogix and D&D HotelOS in one paragraph each

Hotelogix is a cloud hotel property management system. Its pricing page lists a PMS with reservations, front desk, mobile app, point of sale, housekeeping and reporting, and hotel operations tools including a channel manager, real-time OTA management, GDS connect, a web booking engine, reputation and revenue management and multi-property central reservations. It says it connects with 100+ third-party solutions and offers 24/7 support.

D&D HotelOS (HotelERP) is hotel management software built by D&D Technology in Jaipur. Rooms and reservations (room types, rate plans, availability, group blocks, corporate bookings), front desk with guest folios that collect room and outlet charges, housekeeping and maintenance, restaurant POS, inventory and purchasing, and accounting are kept around one reservation and folio. You choose the modules during setup: Hotel PMS, Restaurant POS, Inventory, Accounting or Website.

Where each one is stronger

Hotelogix strengths

  • A wide hotel stack in one place: PMS, channel manager, OTA management, GDS connect and booking engine.
  • Multi-property and central reservation tools.
  • 100+ third-party integrations (channel managers, payment gateways, CRM, accounting), per its FAQ.
  • 24/7 support by phone, email and chat.

D&D HotelOS strengths

  • Published rupee pricing: ₹499/month, or ₹4,491 a year (pay for 9, use 12), after a 1-month free trial.
  • Guest folios that collect room and outlet charges in one place.
  • Housekeeping (daily, checkout and deep cleans, inspections) and maintenance assets.
  • Inventory and purchasing linked to the property and its outlets, plus accounting.

Things to check before choosing D&D HotelOS

  • A channel manager and GDS connectivity are not listed on the HotelOS features page; if OTA distribution is central, ask how it fits or pair it with a channel manager.
  • Larger or custom scopes are quoted by modules, properties, outlets, users and setup work.
  • HotelOS is newer and smaller than global hotel software vendors.

Things to check before choosing Hotelogix

  • No prices are published; cost depends on hotel size and integrations, and you email the vendor for a quote.
  • A broad distribution-focused stack may be more than a small lodge needs.

Who should choose which

Hotelogix is the better choice for hotels that depend on OTA and GDS distribution, run several properties, and want a single vendor for PMS, channel manager and booking engine with 24/7 support.

HotelOS is the better choice for an independent Indian property that wants rooms, restaurant, inventory and accounts connected on one guest record, at a low published rupee price. If most of your bookings come through OTAs and you need a built-in channel manager and GDS today, a distribution-focused PMS may suit better.

How to decide in one week

  • Write down the three jobs the software must do every day, and the one report you need every week.
  • Shortlist two products at most, and ask each vendor for a demo on your own sample data, not a generic tour.
  • Ask each vendor, in writing, for the full yearly cost: plan, users, add-ons, payment or transaction fees, setup and support.
  • Check how you can export your data if you leave, and in which format.
  • Run one real week of work in the trial or demo account before you commit to a yearly plan.

Switching from Hotelogix to D&D HotelOS

Hotels cannot stop taking guests to change software, so plan the move around a quiet day and future reservations.

  1. List future reservations. Export all bookings from the switch date onward, with deposits taken.
  2. Set up the property. Room types, rooms, rate plans and outlets in HotelOS.
  3. Load guests and bookings. Enter future reservations and deposits; check room assignments.
  4. Train each desk. Front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and accounts, each on their own screens.
  5. Switch on a quiet day. Check in new arrivals on HotelOS; check out in-house guests on the old system.
  6. Close the old account. After the first full billing cycle, export reports and keep them.

Export your data from your current tool before you cancel it, and keep that export for your records.
